CheMatsustain project: 3days in Bologna

Project and Review meetings and National Event

Published: 22 July 2025 | Innovazione e ricerca

The Department of Management recently hosted the CheMatSustain project team for the third General Assembly and the first Review Meeting of the project.

The General Assembly was the occasion to reflect on the project developments in the last 18 months of activities, as well as to present and share an overview of each of the work packages and to discuss the further steps.

The second meeting day was dedicated to the project review, and we had the pleasure of hosting the entire project consortium, as well as the project reviewer and the project officer.  During the meeting, the work performed so far was presented and followed by some first review questions from the experts and the valuable feedback from the reviewer to support shaping the future project work.

It was a very intense and successful two days of meetings, and we are now ready for further developments of the project!

We thank all the partner for their precious contribution to the meetings and to the project, and look forward to new teamwork!

Besides that, we held the first project national event. It was a public event dedicated to all stakeholders interested in enhancing the safety and sustainability of chemicals and nanomaterials through innovation. During the event, we explored pathways to bridging the gap from science to policy, industry, and the general public. Specifically, scientific sessions were alternated with roundtable discussions to bring multiple perspectives and embrace transdisciplinary knowledge exchange. The event also marks the official launch of the CheMatSustain Facility.
