The Yunus Social Business Centre aims to develop research and support for the Social Business.
On April 18th, 2018, Professor Muhammad Yunus and the Department of Management inaugurated the YSBC of the University of Bologna at the Forlì campus. Yunus' vision inspires the YSBC@Bologna and establishes a new kind of capitalism, where altruism
and generosity are valued as much as profit making, and where individuals not only have the capacity to lift themselves out of poverty, but also to affect real change for the planet and its people.
The Yunus’s World of Three Zeroes (the new economics of zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero carbon emissions) offers a challenge to young people, business and political leaders, and ordinary citizens everywhere to embrace a new form of
capitalism, and improve the world for everyone.
The primary mission of the YSBC is the research of applied business solutions, mentoring services, and support for developing social businesses.
Our Center aims to improve knowledge on the mechanisms of microfinance and social business by encouraging discussions that can lead to impacting social solutions. Consulting and advisory services are fundamental for us, leading to
developing methods for solving social problems and fostering social entrepreneurship in the young generations.
Prof. Giuseppe Torluccio is the director of the Yunus Business Center.
