PUBLIC ART PROJECT / Phase 2 - 2025
In 2024, the Department of Management promoted a public art project conceived by Parsec in collaboration with Andrea Gianfanti for the space in front of the entrance to its headquarters in Via Capo di Lucca 34 in Bologna.
The project involved three artistic interventions to propose a dialogue between the public space and the people who pass through it, with the intention of listening, evaluating, and understanding the relationship created between the interventions presented and the different possible forms of creative interaction.

The initiative attracted the interest of artists and citizens experiencing the surrounding space, with active online and offline involvement.
It was therefore decided to continue with phase two, continuing to develop artistic interventions that engage the community and stimulate dialogue.
The second phase of the project includes five new interventions to be implemented between March 2025 and February 2026:
- Intervention curated by Alice Visentin: a “theater-nest” inside the metal ventilation cage at the University of Bologna.
- Intervention curated by Stefano Fiorina: “The Cabbage Project,” stems from the exploration of lettering and graffiti, to combine these techniques with photography and digital art.
- Intervention: realization of the winning work from the Open Call launched by Parsec, which will offer complete freedom in languages and mediums, keeping the dialogue with the space at the center.
- Intervention by an international artist is included as part of Art City 2026. At the conclusion of the TANGLE–Visual Culture in Urban Art project, the SOMA collective presents S.C.A.R.T.O.: Spazio Critico Attraversabile Residuale Temporaneo Organico (Critical Passable Residual Temporary Organic Space). The site-specific work was curated by Camilla Baccaglini, Diletta Bellegante, and India Ricchi. Learn more in the attached file.
The project also includes the publication “Visual Culture in Urban Art,” which will collect all the interventions made as part of the public art project for the Department of Business Sciences at the University of Bologna (2024-2026).
