THE TRANSITION TO SUSTAINABILITY IN COOPERATIVE ENTERPRISES

The Department of Management and KPMG are organizing the conference "The Transition to Sustainability in Cooperative Enterprises," to be held in Aula Prodi (San Giovanni in Monte, Bologna) on Dec. 4th, 2023, at 3 p.m.

Institutional greetings - including those of the Delegate for Public Engagement of the University of Bologna and the Director of the Department of Management, Angelo Paletta - will be followed by scientific papers, qualified technical interventions, and presentations from the world of cooperatives.

The results of a research project that analyzed a sample of Italian cooperatives falling within the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) scope will be presented. This will be followed by the illustration of several business cases that will first explore the role of ESG information in financing cooperatives, followed by the implementation of sustainability management tools in mutual and social cooperatives.
There will then be a panel discussion on the motivations and critical issues in the transition to sustainability and, to conclude, an informal discussion.

The meeting will be held in Italian.
