The Tech Forward Higher Education course aims to identify potential application areas of innovative technologies developed within the Universities of Bologna, Ferrara, Modena and Reggio Emilia and Parma. It is aimed at master's students from any disciplinary field at these universities and provides scholarships to cover mobility costs.
The course lasts 16 weeks with a part-time commitment and is conducted entirely in English.
Six student teams - multidisciplinary and multi-university - will work on a specific technology to test and design possible new market applications and solutions of value to society, according to the Sustainable Development Goals, and to people, through adopting a Human Centered approach.
The program will include inspirational meetings and interaction with IdeaSquare, CERN's Open Innovation lab, and the team of researchers who developed the technology being challenged. Tech Forward provides a Grant to cover mobility costs and it is implemented with European Funds from the Emilia Romagna Region and from the Universities.
