The project deals with economic integration of refugees through social entrepreneurship, which is a pressing issue in the time of increased migration flows.
The main objective is to enhance possibilities for refugees to become active economic actors and agents of their own integration in given host societies and to contribute to the economic development by generating employment and supporting the creation of new businesses.
The project proposes the multi-governance model which will include vertical, horizontal and networking management.
Accordingly, the transnational partnership will bring together national, regional and local governments and bodies, non-governmental organizations, social entrepreneurs, academics and refugees in a common programme as the first of its kind in ADRION region.
The end result of this initiative is establishment of a network that shall encourage participation of refugees in social entrepreneurship and thus also support their inclusion into the labour market.
The key aim of the project in this respect is to provide a productive and creative environment for development of ideas, knowledge exchange, exchange of good practices, advancing innovative actions for existing social economy enterprises and the ones in pre-incubation phase as well as to increase their capacity and knowledge in preparation of investment ready projects, with the perspective to create a tailored financial instrument and therefore to attract potential impact investors in social economy enterprises.
The project will develop a network that will work mainly on promoting and building social innovation, facilitating the development of public policies in relation to economic integration and support access to economic integration for refugees.
The project aims to contribute to diminishing of the resulting structural division and achieve sustainable development of the program area, which will also include social integration of vulnerable groups.
