Oper.space is the Innovation Factory of the University of Bologna. It connects universities, businesses, and institutions to collectively address complex societal issues through innovation pathways that generate solutions centered around the real needs of people. Furthermore, Oper.space represents the desire to foster a new culture of creativity and sensitivity towards innovation.

Almacube, Almalabor, BeHold, Oper.lab (the Observatory for Open Innovation of the Department of Management), and are the identities that constitute Oper.space, a center for innovation that leverages their diverse expertise to create an innovative ecosystem in the territory.

  • Almacube is the incubator and innovative hub of the University of Bologna and Confindustria Emilia Area Centro, providing support to businesses and startups in the area.
  • Almalabor is the Maker space, a prototyping laboratory, and coworking space of the University of Bologna, focusing on innovation education for students, researchers, and faculty.
  • Lab is the Observatory for Open Innovation of the Department of Management of the University of Bologna, engaging in research and designing methodologies and formats that make innovation effective.
  • BeHold is the University of Bologna's company that manages stakes in accredited spin-offs, focusing on the development of university spin-offs.

 

Oper.space offers a range of programs and collaboration opportunities targeting companies and institutions, startups and spin-offs, youth, students, and researchers.

 

It is part of the Design Factory Global Network (DFGN), a network of 37 innovation hubs in 25 countries hosted in universities and research centers worldwide. DFGN aims to create a change in the world of learning and research through a culture based on passion and effective problem-solving.

DiSA is participating in this initiative through its Oper.Lab Observatory.
